Muay Thai Bangkok is stadium nights plus gyms spread across the city. Rajadamnern Stadium, on Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, calls itself the world’s first Muay Thai stadium and advertises seven nights a week. A late-September 2026 calendar shows Knockout on Monday, Tuesday and Friday (bell 19:00), New Power Group on Wednesday and Petchyindee on Thursday (18:00), and Rajadamnern World Series on Saturday (19:00). A schedule guide also lists Sunday at 18:00 as Kiatpetch. Promoters change.

A July 2026 seating guide puts third class around 1,000 baht when it is on sale, second class or Leo at 1,500, club class at 1,800 and ringside at 2,500.

Lumpinee, 6 Ram Inthra Road, Bang Khen, by MRT Pink Line Ram Inthra 3, runs weekly ONE Friday Fights: doors about 17:30, undercard about 18:30, main card about 20:30, mixing Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA. Autumn 2026 seats are about 1,000–5,000 baht. Some Saturdays add Super Champ or a morning ONE Fight Night. Channel 7 in Chatuchak is free on Sunday, 14:30 to about 16:30, usually six fights, with no reserved seats. Shorts, sandals and plain T-shirts are refused. World Siam in Bang Kapi lists Monday from 18:00 at 1,000 baht.

F.A. Group, 270 Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Chatuchak, is a clinch camp near Mo Chit. YOKKAO on Sukhumvit Soi 16 sells drop-ins at 10:00–11:30 and 17:00–18:30, plus privates. Khongsittha in Lat Phrao has rooms next door. FITFAC is an 11-branch studio, not a live-in camp.

When to go

Averages for 1991–2020 put the dry season in November to April and the monsoon from roughly mid-May to October. The mean is about 28°C in December and January and 31.5°C in April. April’s average high is 35.8°C, and March to May has reached about 40°C. Yearly rain is about 1,650 mm. September is the wettest month, about 335 mm over 21 days; December is about 6 mm.

December to mid-February is the least hot stretch. April is harsh for midday roadwork. Monsoon rain is often showers, and stadiums stay open every month.

What it costs

FightLink’s index of 28 September 2026 puts a group class at 350–600 baht, a private at 800–1,500, a month at 8,000–18,000 and training plus lodging at 24,000–91,000. A May 2025 city guide is close: a drop-in 400–700, a month 8,000–15,000, a private 800–1,500.

A January 2026 gym table, which says to recheck, shows most singles at 400–600 baht, with months such as 9,000 at Rithirit, 11,000 at F.A. Group and 18,000 at Eminent Air and Sitsongpeenong. A month with a room runs from 19,500 at F.A. Group to 62,800 at Master Toddy’s. FITFAC’s group month is 5,500 baht for one class a day; one private is 1,790. YOKKAO lists a drop-in at US$20 and many privates at US$45–46, with a Superlek session at US$253.

A June 2026 cost guide lists a dorm at 400–700 baht a night, a basic private room at 800–1,200, three-star at 1,200–2,200 and four-star at 2,500–4,500. Serviced apartments are about 15,000–45,000 a month. One-bedroom rents that June were 18,000–28,000 in Nana and 15,000–25,000 in On Nut. An April 2026 guide puts many prime Sukhumvit one-bedrooms at 25,000–60,000.

Where fighters stay

Stay near the gym: traffic and heat make a few kilometres a long commute. Khongsittha’s resort is in Lat Phrao, beside the camp.

Chatuchak suits F.A. Group and the free Sunday fights. Sukhumvit Soi 16 suits YOKKAO, at higher rents. On Nut — Attachai is on On Nut 36 — and Prawet, where a 2026 note places Sitsongpeenong, are cheaper on the BTS. Bang Kapi fits World Siam. Ram Inthra fits Lumpinee; a Grab from the centre is often 250–400 baht.

How to choose a gym

• Get session, month, private, gear and room rates in writing. Published tables differ by thousands of baht.
• Watch a class: count trainers, see whether beginners are split from fighters, and see whether clinch is coached.
• A camp month is not FITFAC’s one class a day, and not a dollar drop-in at YOKKAO.
• Time the commute at training hour. For a bout, ask which stadium the gym uses.

Can I watch a fight every night?

Yes, at Rajadamnern, which advertises seven nights. Lumpinee’s fixed show is Friday, Channel 7 is free on Sunday afternoon, and World Siam runs Monday in Bang Kapi.

When is the best time to train?

December to mid-February. April is the hottest long-term month, September the wettest, and gyms stay open.

Where is Lumpinee now?

At 6 Ram Inthra Road, Bang Khen. Friday’s ONE card starts in the early evening; some Saturdays are a morning Fight Night or an evening Super Champ.

Do I need experience?

No. Drop-ins are sold to first-timers. Fighter runs and hard clinch are booked separately.

Is a gym room cheaper than a condo?

Not always. A January 2026 room-and-training month starts around 19,500 baht and passes 60,000, while an On Nut one-bedroom can be 15,000–25,000 before training.
