Muay Thai gyms that issue DTV paperwork
Last reviewed 22 Oct 2026
These are gyms whose own websites, read on 22 Oct 2026, say they supply the enrolment or acceptance documents a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) application asks for. This is not legal advice, not an endorsement, and not a promise that any embassy will accept a gym's letter. The visa rules here come from the Royal Thai Embassy in London only. Where a gym's page describes the visa differently, the embassy page wins.
Key facts:
- London embassy DTV page, read 22 Oct 2026: DTV2 covers Thai soft power activities and names Muay Thai. Fee £300. Five years, multiple entry, 180 days per entry, one extension of up to 180 days through the Immigration Bureau.
- For DTV2 the embassy lists proof of confirmation to attend the activity. That is the document a gym supplies. The other documents are yours: funds of at least £12,000 (500,000 THB), a police certificate issued within six months, proof of permanent residence in the UK, Ireland or the British Overseas Territories, a recent photo and your passport page.
- Six gyms checked: Naka (Phuket), Rawai Muay Thai (Takua Pa), Khongsittha (Bangkok), Punch it Gym (Koh Samui), Muay Thai Fever (Chiang Mai), and Khao Lak Muay Thai & Muay Boran (Khao Lak, read 23 Oct 2026).
- Programme prices are each gym's own figure on the date we read it (22 Oct 2026; 23 Oct 2026 for Khao Lak Muay Thai). They are not embassy fees.
What the embassy asks the gym for
One line in the London list is about the activity: proof of confirmation that you will attend it. A gym letter or enrolment certificate is how Muay Thai applicants meet that line. Everything else on the DTV2 list is about you. A gym cannot supply your £12,000 of financial evidence, your police certificate, or your proof of permanent residence in the UK, Ireland or the British Overseas Territories.
The embassy page also says that an application missing documents, or sent with unclear files, will get a request for more documents, which delays processing. Ask the gym exactly which documents it sends before you pay, and check them against the embassy list on the day you apply.

Reading a gym's DTV page
Gym pages explain the visa in their own words, and some of those words do not match the London embassy. Several quote the application fee in baht, such as 10,000 baht. London lists £300. One page describes the stay as 180 days per year. London says 180 days per entry, with one extension of up to 180 days, after which you leave and may re-enter. Use the embassy page for the visa and the gym page for the gym.
Programme length is not stay length. Khongsittha's page says so directly: its programme runs nine months, and that does not change the permission granted on each entry. Its train-and-stay option includes 180 nights of on-site accommodation inside those nine months, not nine continuous months.
Refund terms differ. Muay Thai Fever says it refunds training costs if the application is declined, with proof. Naka's DTV page does not state a refund rule, and its class price page says no refunds. Punch it Gym ties the letter to a confirmed booking. Get the refund rule in writing before you pay.
What we did not check
We did not apply for a DTV, contact these gyms, or test whether any embassy accepted their paperwork. Approval is the embassy's decision. Khongsittha's own page says visa approval, entry and extensions rest with the Thai embassy, consulate and immigration authorities.
A gym missing from this list may also issue DTV documents. We only listed gyms whose own page we read on 22 or 23 Oct 2026.
Exemption or DTV
If your camp fits inside 30 days, GOV.UK, re-read 22 Oct 2026, says British passport holders can enter under the visa exemption for up to 30 days for tourism only. For a longer stay, the same page says to get the appropriate visa before you travel. The visa guide covers the exemption, the tourist visa and the DTV side by side.

FAQs
Which Muay Thai gyms give DTV letters?
On their own websites, read 22 Oct 2026, Naka in Phuket, Rawai Muay Thai in Takua Pa, Khongsittha in Bangkok, Punch it Gym on Koh Samui and Muay Thai Fever in Chiang Mai all say they supply DTV paperwork, and Khao Lak Muay Thai & Muay Boran's page, read 23 Oct 2026, says the same. Others may too. This list only includes pages we read. Inclusion is not an endorsement.
How much does a Muay Thai DTV programme cost?
Gym prices on 22 Oct 2026 ran from ฿19,000 plus VAT (Muay Thai Fever, nine months of group classes) to THB 128,000 (Khongsittha, nine months with 180 nights on site). Naka lists ฿22,000, ฿45,000 and ฿65,000 packages. The embassy fee is separate: the London embassy lists £300.
Does a gym letter guarantee the DTV?
No. The London embassy lists the activity confirmation as one of six DTV2 documents, alongside £12,000 (500,000 THB) in funds, a police certificate under six months old and proof of permanent residence. Khongsittha's own page says approval rests with the embassy and immigration. This is not legal advice.
What if a gym's page and the embassy disagree?
Follow the embassy. Some gym pages quote a baht fee or describe 180 days per year. The London embassy page, read 22 Oct 2026, lists £300 and 180 days per entry, with one extension of up to 180 days through the Immigration Bureau.
