How long to train Muay Thai in Thailand: 1 week, 2 weeks or a month

Last reviewed 23 Oct 2026

On eight camps' own price pages, read on 23 Oct 2026, a month of group training cost between 2.7 and 3.4 times the weekly price. In plain terms, at most of these camps a month costs about three weeks' fees, so the fourth week is close to free. A week is the most expensive way to train per day, and the right answer still depends on how much leave you have and on the visa limit.

Key facts (camp sites and GOV.UK, read 23 Oct 2026):

  • A week of group training: ฿3,000 to ฿4,400 at the camps below. A month: ฿8,800 to ฿13,500.
  • Two-week passes exist but are rare: Santai ฿6,500 and Martial Arts Academy ฿5,500 for training only.
  • With a room, Khongsittha in Bangkok charges ฿24,500 for 14 days and ฿28,000 for 30 days (single room, before a ฿10,000 deposit).
  • "A month" means 28 nights at Diamond and Venom, 30 days at Tiger and Khongsittha.
  • GOV.UK: visa-exempt entry from 15 Sep 2026 allows up to 30 days, for tourism only.

Training only: what a week and a month cost

All prices are group training, in baht, as each camp publishes them. Where a camp sells one and two sessions a day, the two-a-day price is shown.

Camp Area 1 week 2 weeks 1 month Month ÷ week
Tiger Muay Thai Phuket ฿4,400 not listed ฿13,500 3.1
Santai Chiang Mai ฿3,500 ฿6,500 ฿11,000 3.1
Rawai Muay Thai Khao Lak ฿3,000 not listed ฿10,000 3.3
Diamond Koh Phangan ฿3,000 (12 sessions) not listed ฿10,000 (48 sessions) 3.3
Venom Koh Phangan ฿3,000 not listed ฿10,000 3.3
Chinnarach Koh Phangan ฿3,000 not listed ฿10,000 3.3
Martial Arts Academy Koh Phangan ฿3,300 ฿5,500 ฿8,800 2.7
M19 Koh Phangan ฿3,500 not listed ฿12,000 3.4

Tiger's prices are its Muay Thai training option and exclude 7% VAT. Venom's and Martial Arts Academy's include it. The last column is our arithmetic, rounded to one decimal place.

Several camps also sell one session a day for less, which suits a first week while your body adjusts. Diamond and Venom list ฿2,000 a week and ฿7,000 a month for one session a day; M19 lists ฿2,000 and ฿7,500; Chinnarach ฿2,000 and ฿8,000.

With a room: where the month discount is biggest

Camp Room 1 week 2 weeks 1 month Notes on the camp's page
Khongsittha, Bangkok Single ฿13,300 (7 days) ฿24,500 (14 days) ฿28,000 (30 days) 30-day rate excludes ฿10,000 deposit, cleaning and utilities
Venom, Koh Phangan Bamboo hut ฿5,500 ฿9,900 ฿16,000 (28 nights) Twice-daily training included; minimum 7 nights
Diamond, Koh Phangan Single bamboo bungalow ฿7,000 not listed ฿24,000 (28 nights) Two meals a day Mon to Sat, ice baths and yoga included
Tiger, Phuket Basic all-inclusive, standard room ฿14,500 not listed ฿42,800 All classes and a pre-paid meal card; 7% VAT extra

Khongsittha is the sharpest example: 30 days cost ฿3,500 more than 14 days. Read what each package covers before you compare totals. Diamond and Tiger include food, Venom and Khongsittha do not list meals in these rates.

Longer than a month

Camps that publish longer passes discount them further. Rawai Muay Thai lists ฿25,000 for three months, ฿45,000 for six and ฿80,000 for a year. Santai lists ฿29,000, ฿55,000 and ฿100,000 for the same periods, and Tiger's Muay Thai training is ฿34,500 for three months before VAT. Stays that long need a visa beyond visa-exempt entry: Khao Lak Muay Thai's DTV page, for example, prices six months of once-a-day training at ฿41,730 including VAT. Our DTV gym list has more.

Fitting the stay to the visa

GOV.UK, read 23 Oct 2026, says that from 15 Sep 2026 visa-exempt entry allows up to 30 days for tourism only, and that you may be asked for proof of funds and onward travel. A 28-night or 30-day package fits inside 30 days; a calendar month of 31 days does not. Read the visa guide before you book anything non-refundable. This is not legal advice.

How to choose

  • One week: the dearest per day. Book it if a week is what you have, and consider one session a day for the first few days.
  • Two weeks: few camps sell a two-week rate, so you often pay two weekly fees. Ask the camp before booking.
  • Four weeks or 30 days: the best value per day on every price list above, and still inside the 30-day visa-exempt limit if the night count fits.
  • Longer: monthly or three-month passes, plus a visa plan.

What to expect on the first days is in your first week at a camp, and the full price table is on Thailand camp prices.

FAQs

Is one week at a Muay Thai camp in Thailand worth it?

On price, a week is the dearest way to train. On eight camps' own pages, read 23 Oct 2026, a week of group training cost ฿3,000 to ฿4,400 while a month cost ฿8,800 to ฿13,500, so the month was 2.7 to 3.4 times the weekly price. A week still makes sense if a week is all the leave you have.

How much does two weeks at a Thai camp cost?

Training only, Santai in Chiang Mai lists ฿6,500 for two weeks and Martial Arts Academy on Koh Phangan ฿5,500, read 23 Oct 2026. With a room, Venom's bamboo hut package is ฿9,900 for 14 nights and Khongsittha's single room in Bangkok ฿24,500 for 14 days.

Why is a month only a little more than two weeks at some camps?

Because monthly rates are discounted. Khongsittha's single room with training is ฿24,500 for 14 days and ฿28,000 for 30 days, read 23 Oct 2026. Its 30-day rate excludes a ฿10,000 security deposit and room cleaning and utilities, the page says.

How long is a month at a Thai camp?

It depends on the camp. Diamond and Venom on Koh Phangan count a month as 28 nights. Tiger Muay Thai counts a month of accommodation as 30 days and Khongsittha sells 30 days. Check the night count against your flights and your visa.

Can I stay longer than 30 days to train?

Not on visa-exempt entry alone. GOV.UK, read 23 Oct 2026, says visa-exempt entry from 15 Sep 2026 allows up to 30 days for tourism only. Longer stays need a different visa; our visa guide and DTV gym list cover the options. This is not legal advice.
