How the days are counted
The rule for UK passport holders is up to 30 days visa-exempt from 15 Sep 2026, tourism only (GOV.UK). We looked for an official line on whether the arrival day is day 1 and did not find one (1 Nov 2026): GOV.UK and the Tourism Authority of Thailand give only "up to 30 days", and the Royal Thai Embassy in London says stays run from the date of arrival without saying more. So we show both readings. Many travellers and forums count the arrival day as day 1, which gives the earlier date.
- GOV.UK: Thailand entry requirements (read 1 Nov 2026)
- TAT News: 30-day and 15-day rules from 15 September (UK is on the 30-day list)
- Royal Thai Embassy, London: length of stay ("check the stamps in your passport")
- Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), official site
Other facts from GOV.UK
- Fill in the digital arrival card online, in the 3 days before you arrive.

- Overstaying costs 500 baht a day, up to 20,000 baht, and can lead to detention or a ban on coming back.
- Entries over land borders are normally limited to 2 a calendar year.
- Want longer? You may be able to apply to Thai immigration for an extension, if eligible.
