Muay Thai Krabi is centred on Ao Nang, with more classes in Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao and on Koh Lanta.

Krabi town holds the airport and is the hop to the beaches. Over The Top, at 723 Moo 2, Soi 9, publishes the fullest pass list. Group classes run Monday to Saturday at 08:00, 09:00, 14:00 and 15:00.

The gym at Ao Nang Krabi Boxing Stadium, 100 Soi Nopparatthara 13, charges a private rate for one or two people and a group rate for three or more. Wraps are 300 baht extra. Groups run at 09:30–10:30 and 15:30–16:30.

A class guide lists further sessions. E.N. Muay Thai, which it says opened in 2025, is at 691 Sai Thai. Khun Suek is at 89 Ao Nang, between the beach and Noppharat Thara. Krabi Lion is at Ao Nam Mao. KMAX is in Krabi Town at 53/3 Soi Maharajah 34. Adin is at Klong Khong on Koh Lanta.

When to go

Climates to Travel (1981–2010) shows a hot tropical year. The southwest monsoon is May to October and the dry season is December to March. Average highs stay at or above 31°C. February to April often reaches 35–36°C. March’s average maximum is 34.3°C. January runs from 21.6°C to 32.9°C.

About 2,000 millimetres of rain falls a year, more than on the Gulf coast. October is wettest, at 325 millimetres and 22 rain days. September is 275 millimetres and November is still 180. January and February are about 30 and 45 millimetres. The clearest window is late December to February. In the summer monsoon the sea can be rough, with dangerous currents.

Landmark’s ticket site lists Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 21:00–23:45, at 1,200 baht for a stadium seat and 1,500 baht VIP, at the night market. It lists the Soi Nopparatthara stadium on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1,500 and 1,900 baht. Ages four to eleven pay half. A schedule guide instead limits Landmark’s year-round card to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, marks the other stadium closed out of high season, and puts Krabi International on Monday and Friday. Shows usually start at 21:00.

What it costs

Over The Top’s list prices are 250 baht a drop-in, 750 for four classes in a day, 1,500 for six single sessions and 6,500 for a month of 26. Four classes a day is 3,500 for a week and 12,000 for a month. A private hour is 1,000 baht.

The stadium gym is 600 baht a group hour and 1,200 private. A class guide lists E.N. at 400 baht for two hours and 800 private, Lion at 500 for 1.5 hours and 900 private, Khun Suek at 700 for 90 minutes, and KMAX in town at 699 for an hour. Adin on Koh Lanta is 858 and 1,143. Lion is closed Friday. Khun Suek, Lion and KMAX include gloves and wraps.

Numbeo’s Ao Nang rents (14 May 2026, three contributors) show a central one-bedroom at 12,000 baht a month, range 10,000–14,000, and 8,000 outside the centre. Budget Your Trip, updated 8 August 2026, records an average room share of 1,333 baht a night, within bands of 508, 1,333 and 3,642 baht. A typical double on that page is 2,665 baht.

Where fighters stay

Ao Nang covers Soi 9, Sai Thai, Soi Nopparatthara 13 and the night-market stadium. Lion means Ao Nam Mao, KMAX means Krabi Town, and Adin means Koh Lanta. Town transport, on Budget Your Trip’s account, is by songthaew.

How to choose a gym

• Match minutes to price. A 250 baht hour is not a 90-minute class at 700 baht.
• Two people at the stadium gym can each be billed 1,200 baht. Wraps there cost 300.
• Over The Top’s 6,500 baht month is one class a day. The 12,000 baht month allows up to four.
• Pick the bed after the soi, then check which stadium is open that week. October rain and March–April heat favour the 08:00 class.
