Watching Muay Thai Live in Bangkok

Watching a card at one of Bangkok's two big stadiums is the best way to understand what Muay Thai looks like at the top level, and it is worth doing whether or not you train. This guide covers Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee Boxing Stadium and the ONE Friday Fights cards held at Lumpinee: when they run, how to buy tickets from the official sources, how to get there and what happens on the night.

All schedules, prices and rules below were checked on the stadiums' and promoters' own sites and official ticketing partner in September 2026. They change often, so check again before you go.

Rajadamnern Stadium

The basics

Rajadamnern is on Rajadamnern Nok Road in Pom Prap Sattru Phai, in Bangkok's old town. It opened in 1945 and describes itself as the world's first Muay Thai stadium, crediting itself with introducing the circular ring, rankings and championship belts to the sport (Rajadamnern Stadium).

When it runs

At the time of writing (September 2026) the stadium lists fights seven nights a week, under different promotions (Rajadamnern Stadium):

Seats and tickets

The stadium lists six seat types, from the top down: a Superior Panoramic Balcony (Saturday RWS cards only, limited to 15 seats, with food and drinks included), a VIP Lounge, Singha Ringside, Club Class, a 2nd Class section near the public betting area, and 3rd Class at the highest level of the stadium (Rajadamnern seat types). The stadium does not publish a fixed price list on these pages; prices depend on the seat tier and the card, and you see current prices when you choose a date.

The official ways to buy are:

Online through the stadium's tickets page, which links through to Ticketmelon for individual event dates.
At the box office, which the stadium says opens daily at 3pm. It warns that popular cards such as RWS sell out quickly, so book those in advance (Rajadamnern tickets).

The stadium says there is no age limit to attend (Rajadamnern tickets). If you are offered tickets on the street or by a third party, compare the price with what the official booking page shows for the same seat and night before you pay.

Getting there

The stadium's own directions suggest taking the BTS to Ratchathewi or Victory Monument, or the MRT to Sam Yot, and then a taxi; bus routes 157, 509, 201 and 503; or a boat to Talad Bobae or Panfa Leelard pier (Rajadamnern: how to get here). It is close to the Khao San area, so it is an easy night out if you are staying in the old town (see Muay Thai in Bangkok for gyms in that part of the city).

Lumpinee Boxing Stadium

The basics

Lumpinee was founded on 8 December 1956, is managed by the Royal Thai Army, and has been at No. 6 Ram Intra Road in Bang Khen since February 2014, having moved from Rama IV Road (Lumpinee Stadium).

Getting there

The stadium's directions give Kasetsart University (N13) as the nearest BTS station, from where you can take a taxi, a motorbike taxi or a bus (Lumpinee: how to get here). It is in the north of the city, a long way from the old town and from Rajadamnern, so allow plenty of time.

Tickets

Lumpinee's own site has an online booking page and says children under 120 cm enter free and that online bookings get 10% off (Lumpinee Stadium). However, the fight calendar on that site did not show current events when we checked in September 2026, so for most visitors the practical route is the ONE cards below, or the stadium's contact details on its site.

ONE Friday Fights at Lumpinee

ONE Championship lists its ONE Friday Fights series at Lumpinee Stadium, alongside some ONE Fight Night events at the same venue (ONE Championship events). ONE's events page links to Thai Ticket Major for tickets.

On the Thai Ticket Major listing for the ONE Lumpinee series, at the time of writing, dates run through to December 2026 on Fridays, with doors at 5.30pm and the show at 6.30pm (Thai Ticket Major: ONE Lumpinee). Listed prices were:

Standard cards: Ringside 5,000 baht, Category 1 3,500, Category 2 2,500, Category 3 1,000.
Premium cards: Ringside 8,000 to 12,000 baht, Category 1 4,500 to 5,000, Category 2 3,500 to 4,000, Category 3 1,500.
A 30 baht service fee per ticket.

The same listing says children need their own ticket, warns of flash and strobe lighting, and bans professional cameras, zoom lenses, selfie sticks and large bags. Tickets are sold on the Thai Ticket Major website, at its outlets and through its call centre (Thai Ticket Major: ONE Lumpinee). Note that the children's policy for ONE events differs from Lumpinee's own under-120 cm rule, so go by the rules for the event you book.

What to expect on the night

Before each fight both fighters perform the wai kru ram muay, a pre-fight ritual. Rajadamnern asks spectators to stay respectful, especially during these rituals (Rajadamnern Stadium). Our gym etiquette and wai kru guide explains what it means, and the glossary covers the terms you will hear.

The crowd varies by section. Rajadamnern pitches its 2nd Class seats as the local experience because they are next to the public betting area (Rajadamnern seat types); if you want a calmer view, the higher or pricier tiers are the alternative.

Scoring is the part that most often confuses first-timers, and it does not work like Western boxing. Read how Muay Thai is scored before you go and the fights will make more sense.

Which should you pick?

One night only, want the traditional stadium experience: Rajadamnern, which runs every night and is easy to reach from the old town.
Want a big produced show with international fighters: ONE Friday Fights at Lumpinee.
Want the biggest Rajadamnern card: a Saturday RWS night, booked ahead.
