Best Muay Thai gyms in Pattaya

Editorial ranking of Pattaya gyms that appear in the Muay Thai Atlas Thailand gym file. The order is a judgement grounded in the sources under each gym. It is not a calculated score or a star rating.

Methodology

Only gyms in the Atlas Thailand file were eligible. Weights used for the judgement:

1. Stadium and promotion pedigree (30%). Documented Lumpinee, Rajadamnern, Omnoi, Channel 7, Shooto, ONE, Thai Fight, Lion Fight, or equivalent names tied to the gym on a gym page, in an interview, or in a reference article.
2. Named trainer depth (25%). Coaches named on the gym site or in a reported article. A deceased founder counts as lineage, not as a coach on the current session.
3. Training structure (20%). Published pad-work, group classes, or a stay-and-train schedule.
4. Beginner access (10%). An explicit first-timer welcome or a published trial.
5. Accommodation and long-stay practicality (10%). On-site rooms or a published residential package.
6. Published price (5%). Figures already recorded for the gym, read against what is included.

Google ratings are repeated only when the Atlas file already recorded them. No record was invented to fill a gap.

Best for is one tag: beginners, fighters, fitness, or long-stay.

Top 10

1. Fairtex Training Center Pattaya

Area: North Pattaya

Best for: fighters

The gym site says Fairtex opened in 1971 and that the Pattaya centre is the heart of its Muay Thai and jiu-jitsu programme. It names Yodsanklai Fairtex, Naruepol Fairtex, Neungsiam Fairtex, Jongsanan Fairtex, and Bunkerd Fairtex among fighters produced, and it says beginners through professional fighters are accepted. The standard Muay Thai programme is described as one-on-one work with trainers, six days a week from 07:30 to 20:00. Now Muay Thai's Pattaya guide says the gym moved to the current North Pattaya site in 2010 and, writing in 2024, said the gym had 40 coaches and more than 40 active fighters. The Atlas file marks accommodation on site and records 800 baht a session, 7000 baht for 10 sessions, and 16500 baht a month. The rank is the published champion list and the one-on-one structure, not a claim that every famous Fairtex fighter teaches the drop-in class.

2. Sityodtong Muay Thai Camp

Area: Nong Prue / East Pattaya

Best for: fighters

The camp site says Kru Yodtong Senanan (28 August 1937 – 8 February 2013) opened the first camp in 1960 in Map Ta Phut, Rayong, and later built the current Bang Lamung site. It says he had 49 fights under the name Erawan Detprasit Banpra and later Senanan, started teaching at his new camp while still fighting, and that Daotong Sityodtong was his first Lumpinee champion in 1971. The page claims more than 57 world champions from the camp, and names Samart Payakaroon, Kongtoranee Payakaroon, Daotong, Chatchai Paiseetong, and others. Pattaya.Gym, checking the operator's card on 8 September 2026, lists 400 baht for one individual trainer pad-work session and 800 baht for two in a day, with pad-work months at 7000 or 13000 baht. The Atlas file records the same 400 baht session band and months of 7000 to 13000 baht. Yodtong is not a living coach. The rank is the camp's published lineage and the continuing pad-work tariff.

3. MAVINN Muay Thai Pattaya

Area: Thepprasit / Jomtien

Best for: fighters

The camp page names head trainers Namsaknoi and Kaolan, calls Kaolan a former Lumpinee champion, says the camp is endorsed by Saenchai, and publishes stay-and-train passes from one day to three months, including a free first session. Prices on that page are 700 baht for a single session, 1000 baht for a day, 4500 baht for a week, and 16000 baht for a month, with a pool, sauna, ice bath, and on-site accommodation. Wikipedia records Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn at 280 wins, 15 losses, and 5 draws in 300 bouts, with Lumpinee titles at 112, 130, and 135 lb, the 135 lb title held for about six years, and Fighter of the Year awards in 1996 and 1999. Wikipedia records Kaolan Kaovichit as a three-division Lumpinee champion (115 lb in 1996, 135 lb in 1999, 147 lb in 2003), 1998 Fighter of the Year, and runner-up at the 2002 K-1 World MAX final. A Siam Fight Mag interview dated 5 April 2023, cited on Kaolan's Wikipedia page, placed him as a coach at Singha Mawynn in Bangkok, which is not a gym in this Atlas file. The live MAVINN page is the source for listing him in Pattaya. The tag is fighters because of those two records. The page also welcomes first-timers.

4. Sudsakorn Muay Thai Gym

Area: Nong Prue / East Pattaya

Best for: fighters

Wikipedia identifies Som Klinmee, born in Pattaya on 25 August 1986, by the ring name Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee. Its record table lists 357 bouts, with 295 wins, 58 losses, and 4 draws. It calls him Lion Fight middleweight champion, former Thai Fight Kard Chuek middleweight champion, and World Kickboxing Network Muay Thai welterweight world champion. The biography says he trained under his cousin Rambaa Somdet and his uncle Tappaya, later joined the Venum team, and then opened Sudsakorn Muay Thai Gym, where he trains and teaches. It records the Lion Fight middleweight win over Magnus Andersson on 8 March 2020 and the Thai Fight Kard Chuek final win over Saiyok Pumpanmuang on 22 December 2013. The Atlas file lists 400 baht a session, 600 baht a day, weeks of 1800 to 3000 baht, and months of 6000 to 9000 baht, with the site sudsakornmuaythai.com. The rank is a named active teacher with a published record, at a lower monthly price than Fairtex or MAVINN.

5. Venum Training Camp

Area: Soi Khopai / South Pattaya

Best for: fighters

Now Muay Thai's Pattaya guide describes a beach-adjacent camp combining Muay Thai, MMA, boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and cross-training, and says athletes such as Sittichai and Samy Sana have trained there. The Atlas file names coaches Mehdi Zatout and Kru Chris Forster and lists fighters including Samy Sana, Chingiz Allazov, Zehra Dogan, Phetjeeja, Nabil Anane, and Sittichai. Week prices in the file run from 1500 to 5000 baht. This ranking does not add win-loss records for those fighters or coaches. Sudsakorn's Wikipedia page says he spent time on the Venum team before opening his own gym, which is history, not a claim he still coaches this room. The tag is fighters because of the names attached to the camp in the guide and the file.

6. Sor Klinmee Gym

Area: Nong Prue / East Pattaya

Best for: fighters

Siam Fight Mag says Tappaya Sit-Or, also identified there as Mit Klinmee, opened Sor Klinmee in 2009, and that Rambaa built a camp about 100 metres away in 2016. The article describes Tappaya as a Rajadamnern, Channel 7, and WMC champion, and says students can train across the two family camps. Wikipedia's Rambaa page calls Tappaya a former Rajadamnern and WMC champion and an uncle of both Rambaa and Sudsakorn. The Atlas file lists trainers Mit Klinmee and Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, with sessions at 200 to 300 baht and months at 6000 to 10000 baht. Sudsakorn's own biography says he opened a separate gym, so his name on this row is family lineage unless a given week is confirmed with the camp. The rank uses Tappaya's documented titles and the published family link, not an assumption that Sudsakorn holds every pad round.

7. Rambaa Somdet M16

Area: Nong Prue / East Pattaya

Best for: fighters

Wikipedia records Rambaa Somdet, born 30 August 1974 in Pattaya, with other names Somdet Sit-Or and Rambaa M16. The Muay Thai table on that page is marked incomplete and totals 62 wins, 23 losses, and 3 draws, with bouts at Lumpinee, Rajadamnern, and Omnoi. The MMA record is 13 wins and 3 losses. He won the inaugural Shooto world flyweight title at 114 lb on 23 November 2009, defended it once, and vacated it in April 2011 with a torn biceps. Siam Fight Mag says he teaches Muay Thai and MMA at the camp he opened in 2016 beside Sor Klinmee. A DASTA place listing describes the trainer as a former famous boxer and says the camp teaches Muay Thai, MMA, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. The Atlas file does not publish a session price for this gym. The tag is fighters because of the Shooto title and the Lumpinee and Omnoi lines, with the missing tariff left blank rather than guessed.

8. Kombat Group Thailand

Area: Huai Yai

Best for: beginners

The camp site names Christian Daghio as founder and describes a beginner-friendly programme of coach-led boxing, Muay Thai, and weight-loss sessions, with meals and accommodation from one week to six months. Guest reports on the same site name individual coaches, including an Italian trainer, Andrea, but those are reviews, not a staff biography, so no fight record is attached to them here. No bout record for Daghio appears on the page. The Atlas file records weeks at 12900 to 24900 baht and on-site accommodation. The tag is beginners because that is the offer the site states. The price weight keeps it below the stadium camps: the week rate is a residential product, not a 400 baht pad session.

9. Silk Muay Thai

Area: Nong Prue / East Pattaya

Best for: long-stay

The Atlas file marks accommodation on site and records 16000 baht for a week and 34000 to 39000 baht for a month, with the site silkmuaythai.com. No named coach and no stadium record were retrieved for this gym in the pages used above. The rank is a published high-end stay price with rooms at the gym. It is not a claim about trainer pedigree. Anyone choosing it for a fight camp should ask who is on the session, because that name is not in the sources used here.

10. Rage Fight Academy

Area: Thappraya / South Pattaya

Best for: fitness

The Atlas file marks accommodation on site and records 500 baht a session, 3500 baht a week, and 7500 to 11000 baht a month, with the site ragefightacademy.com. Pattaya.Gym's price guide points readers who want Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, or functional training toward Rage, after they confirm the timetable. No stadium champion was documented for the gym in the sources read for Fairtex, Sityodtong, or MAVINN. The tag is fitness because the published case is mixed training with a stay option and a mid-range month, not a Lumpinee lineage.
