Twins Special

Key facts:

• BGVL3 gloves £149.99 catalogue price, 8 Oct 2026. Sizes were not confirmed on a Twins page in this pass.
• SGL10 shin guards £144.99 catalogue price, same date.
• A retailer calls the fit roomier than Fairtex. That is their description, not our lab.
• Most UK gyms ask for 16oz to spar, in Atlas copy from 8 Oct 2026. Confirm it.

The two rows

Product	Catalogue price, 8 Oct 2026	What we will not add
Twins Special BGVL3 gloves	£149.99	A foam description from a page we did not open
Twins Special SGL10 shin guards	£144.99	A claim that they last longer than a cheaper guard

Fairtex BGV1, for the comparison people are actually making, is £114.99 in the same extract, and fairtex.com describes that glove as leather with three-layer foam and a tight fit. The price gap on those two price rows is £35.00. Arithmetic is not a quality ranking. We have not wear-tested either glove.

Authorised only

Buy Fairtex, Twins and Yokkao from the brand or an authorised retailer. We do not earn from links on this page. We do not link marketplaces, and we have not lab-tested any product.

The 16oz collection on the live shop was audited on 8 Oct 2026 and found to include gloves sold only in 8oz or 10oz. A Twins pair belongs on a 16oz page only if the size list you are buying from includes 16oz. If the size is unstated, say unstated. The separate 16oz note explains the audit.

FAQs

How much are Twins Special gloves?

The Atlas catalogue price on 8 Oct 2026 is £149.99 for the BGVL3. The SGL10 shin guard is £144.99. Retailers often sell under the catalogue price. We did not re-open a Twins-owned product page for foam specs in this pass, so we do not describe the padding as if we had read the maker's sheet. Confirm the price and the ounce on an authorised retailer before you pay.

Are Twins roomier than Fairtex?

A Muay Thailand retail article, seen 10 Oct 2026, describes Fairtex as compact and Twins as roomier. That is the retailer's description, not a measurement we took and not a verdict we adopt. Fit is the chart and your hand. If the wrist folds, the glove is wrong for sparring regardless of the logo. Fairtex's own chart, which we did read, calls 16oz the standard sparring size for most adults.

What ounce should I buy?

The ounce the gym will let you spar in. Atlas copy from 8 Oct 2026 says most UK gyms ask for 16oz. Fairtex's chart agrees for most adults and also lists 14oz for general work and 12oz as common for smaller hands. Those are Fairtex's words about Fairtex gloves. Do not assume Twins uses the same chart. Read the Twins size line on the page you buy from.

Where should I buy them?

From an authorised retailer or the brand. We do not link marketplaces. We did not open a hologram guide, so there is no sticker test on this page. A price that looks unlike the authorised page is a reason to close the tab and compare, not a reason to gamble.
